Compact Bastards

"Compact Bastards" is an homage to the stylized discs and designs from the early 2000s, particularly the PlayStation 2 era. Originally, the artwork was part of a college project focused on quilt designs and patterns. However, this design diverged from that concept and emerged as a standalone art piece among the four original patterns created.

Drawing inspiration from shape-based illusions and natural imagery, the original quilt designs were influenced by the game "Katamari Damacy" and evolved into "Compact Bastards." The hyper-color style is emblematic of SWS, and the vibrant colors were intended to create a series of discs that together convey a virtual emotion.
