ABOUT ME

Super Weird Studios is the culmination of a lifelong passion for graphic design and the arts. Collaboration is a natural part of creation, and a collaborative passion allows for better art. At SWS, I believe in being the "visual voice" for communities, artists, and individuals. Super Weird Studios works toward establishing an impactful mark in the world of creativity and activism through mixed-media design.

With previous work in TEDx, journalistic magazine publications, and ongoing collaborations, SWS has developed a large portfolio that has sprung from the beginnings of hand-drawn illustration to the digital arts of Procreate, Adobe Creative Suite, and Affinity. Through multimedia design, SWS uses the past and future to create meaningful and creative works of passion.

History Of The Wojak

This design was developed utilizing Prezi, a cutting-edge presentation software that enhances the visual impact of informational content. The project focuses on the historical significance of the Wojak meme, an increasingly relevant topic within the study of multimedia communication. The Wojak meme has emerged as a notable element in contemporary art and design, significantly shaping the landscape of digital communication.
The aim of this work is to conduct a thorough analysis of memes, exploring their development and relevance within the framework of multimedia design. By examining the Wojak meme, we seek to articulate the complex relationships between humor, cultural expression, and visual communication, emphasizing the role of memes as both a societal mirror and a medium for artistic innovation.

Arts & Descrimintation

This design was developed utilizing Infogram, a software made for creating infographics and employing graphic design tools to enhance visual presentation and information clarity. The selected topic, "Art and Discrimination," examines the effects of discrimination within the contemporary art world, seamlessly integrating design elements to enrich the overall visual narrative. The inspiration for this infographic was drawn from the art collective Guerrilla Girls, who highlight significant issues in the art community, including equitable pay, gallery representation, and the prevalence of male artists and the male gaze culture.

Use Your Voice

This flyer was specifically designed for the TEDxPeople interactive art installation. It aimed to promote the event and encourage audience participation by inviting them to submit their media for inclusion in the artwork. Crafted using Canva, the flyer employed the design principle known as the natural ratio, effectively utilizing a "big-little-small" hierarchy in the text to enhance the organization of information and draw attention to key details.

To create a visually engaging experience, the flyer integrated elements and motifs derived from the installation into the advert's imagery. This approach helped convey the essence of the art installation while providing potential participants with clear and concise information about how they could contribute to their media. Overall, the design informed and inspired creativity and participation in the event.
